Obituary for Hailey Marie Reeves

Hailey Marie Reeves was born February 5, 1990 and took the world by force on day one.  Hailey lived more in her 27 years than most.  She was called home on April 18, 2017.  Way too soon.   She leaves behind her parents Misty & David Fisher, her brothers Nathan Reeves and his girlfriend Allen Christina Dominguez, Zachary Fisher and David M. Fisher and his wife Ashley.  One sister Meagan and her wife Jessie Fisher.  Her fiancé of two years John Mansfield. Grandparents Barbara & John Risch, David & Janet Fisher and the late Lewis Bonner.  Aunts and uncles who loved her like one of their own are Penny & Dan Lewis, Doug & Lori Fisher and Danette & Max Mensendiek.  Cousins are Alex, Ben & Lauren Lewis, Nicholas & Noah Mensendiek and Dustin & Dolan Fisher.   Nephews & niece Colin, Ethan & Bradie Fisher.  Most people have one family,  Hailey had two.  In Texas lives her biological father Glenn Reeves, aunts and uncles Randall Reeves, Stacy & Sandy Reeves and Bev & Rick McKee.  Grandparents Walter & Evelyn Reeves. More cousins. Preceded in death by her stepmother Ana Reeves.

Hailey worked as a production Specialist At FIA.  She worked there five years leaving behind many friends.  She previously worked at Gemtron, Kohls, Walmart and her first job  and reason she quit eating marinara was at Fazolis.  She graduated from Rivet 2008 and attended VU.   But, that's not who she was.  She hit the ground running.  She was Nathan's other half and her little brothers constant companion as they hunted rare Pokémon together.  She liked to shoot.  She like to travel.  She hiked, biked and took her kayak down any river she wanted, scaring the above parents to death. John was along, white knuckled, for the ride.   She was an avid fisher girl catching catfish like it was her calling.  She was funny, loyal, thoughtful and never regretted anything.

We are celebrating her life on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 4:00-7:00. Service following at the Vincennes First Church of God, 1408 E St. Clair St. Vincennes.  Pastor Georg Karl officiating.  She loved plants and cut flowers.  Didn't like "funeral flowers."  Help us honor our amazing girl by sharing her with us. Her family would love to hear all of her friends stories so we ask that you write out your favorite and bring it with you   Hailey lived and loved with endless energy and leaves behind many best friends.  I imagine she has Romeo on his leash, sitting on a riverbank with a fishing pole in her hand with her Grandpa Lew sitting beside her and telling some good stories. She would also be telling us to get off the couch.  Life is short.  Enjoy it!
