June D. Hunt, 83, of Vincennes, IN., passed away on Tuesday July10, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Evansville, IN with her family by her side. She was born in Otwell, IN., on July 1, 1935 to Steve and Ruby Gray. June was first married to Neal Jones and together they had three children. She later married Bob Hunt who preceded her in death. She held jobs with Frisch’s Big Boy, Wesslemans Café, and later retired from Don’s Cleaners. She also enjoyed reading books, magazines, and three different newspapers. She was happiest cooking big meals for her entire family whether it was for a holiday or just a Sunday meal. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was an outgoing personality giving to whomever she met.
June is survived by her three children Randy Jones and his wife Millie of Loogootee IN, Brian Jones of Vincennes IN, and Tami Meece and her husband Frankie of Otwell IN. She had 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Her sisters Joan Grubb of Petersburg IN, and Lou Clements of Sarasota FL, and her brother Ed (Butch) Gray and his wife Diane of Petersburg IN, also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Hunt, her parents and her brother Steve Gray.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 11AM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Georg Karl officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5PM to 8PM on Friday July 13, 2018 at the funeral home.
