Obituary for Robert E. “Bob” Clark
Robert E. “Bob” Clark, 67, of Vincennes went to live with Jesus his Lord and Savior on Monday July 31, 2017 at 10:40 AM in his home with his family holding his hand at his bedside. Bob was born August 2, 1949 in Evansville, IN the son of Robert J. and Lois J. Deckard Clark. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967 and served his country in the Viet Nam War in the U.S. Navy Seabees. Bob was a union carpenter having worked out of Local 546. He married Janice Glass on November 8th,1969 and they made their life together for 47 years. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Clark, son, Dwayne Clark, and his wife Angie of Lawrenceville, IL, his granddaughter, Karter Marie Clark, his father, Robert J. Clark of Vincennes, a brother Bradford Clark of Copemish, MI, and his sisters, Karen Bruggeman, and her husband Dennis of Vincennes and Sondra Twitty, and her husband Bernard of Northport, FL.
Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Jean Clark McRoberts, grandchildren, Myles Ray Clark and Shelby Jae Clark. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Lois J. Clark.
Funeral services will be celebrated Friday August 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Roger Wright officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his daughter in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with military gravesite honors given by the All Weather Firing Squad. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 8 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home.
