Obituary for Thelma M. Van Wey
Thelma M. Van Wey, 91, of Vincennes, IN passed away Friday July 20, 2018 at Bridge Pointe Nursing Center. She was born March 8, 1927 in Knox County the daughter of Tom and Flora Fox. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She married Bill Van Wey on May 26, 1951 and they made their life together for nearly 63 years until his death on April 14, 2014. She was a Homemaker and a member of Southside Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, Kent Van Wey of Vincennes, her grandchildren, Vance Van Wey, Aaron Van Wey, Shawna Van Wey and Sarah Covarrubias. Great grandchildren, Cooper Van Wey, Hudson Van Wey, Keily Van Wey-Salinas, Bailey Van Wey-Salinas, Ivy Van Wey-Salinas, Zoey Van Wey-Salinas, Isabella Covarrubias and Gabriel Covarrubias. Her sisters Fleta Lowe and Betty Chapman.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Van Wey, a daughter Lisa Kay Van Wey and her parents.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Roman officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Bill in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM. Memorial contribution can be made to Heart to Heart Hospice in her memory.
