Obituary for Allen D. �Doug� Worstell Allen Douglas Worstell, 68, of Vincennes, passed away Friday evening at 7:17 PM at the Lodge of the Wabash. He was born August 28, 1945 in Ft. Stockton, TX the son of Paul & Etheleda Osterdock Worstell. He was a Chef at various restaurants including the Holiday Inn, John Paul Restaurant, and the K of C. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the K of C, American Legion and the Harmony Society. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. He married Marie B. Weiler on August 28, 1973 and they made their life together for 41 years. He recently retired from PTI Transport and he loved to play bingo. He was the chef for the Sacred Heart Picnic carry out dinners. He is survived by his wife, Marie B. Worstell, 2 sisters, Charlotte Folks, and her husband Cecil of Lawrenceville, IL and Leda Geltz, and her husband Jerry of Dundas, IL. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters in law, the Robert Weiler Family. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday March 5, 2014 at 4:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Fr. Ron Kreilein officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Christian Education Foundation or the Vincennes Pet Port.
