Obituary for Bernard D. "Bernie" Dreiman
Obituary for Bernard Dale Dreiman Bernard Dale �Bernie� Dreiman, Vincennes, passed away on Tuesday October 1, 2013 at Gentle Care Nursing Center with his family at his bedside. Born October 14, 1922 to Alfred J. Dreiman and Alice Smithmeier Dreiman, he married Marcella B. Mouzin on June 29, 1944. Bernie received an Associate Degree from Vincennes University and attended Memphis State University. He was a United States Air Force veteran of World War II flying 35 missions in the European theater. He received the U. S. Air Medal and 6 Oak Leaf Clusters during his active duty. He continued his military service in the USAF Reserves, retiring in 1969 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was employed at Tip Top Creamery (Beatrice Foods), Vincennes, Indiana, for 27 years serving as general manager. Bernie was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Harmony Society (past president), American Legion, 40&8, Veterans of Foreign Wars, 486th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force Historical Society, and the Reserve Officers Association. Surviving are his wife, Marcella, sons Bernard B. Dreiman and his wife, Linda of Marion, Indiana, Randall K. Dreiman, and his wife, Ella of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Mark J. Dreiman of Vincennes. Grandchildren, Douglas Dreiman (Charisse), Michele Clapp (Brian), Eric Dreiman (Michelle), Brandon Dreiman (Beth), Jennifer Hollander (Brad), Cory Dreiman, Kristen Beavers (Kenneth), Tyler Economan (Shannon), and 10 great-grandchildren. His parents, a sister Doris, and his brothers Donald and Clifford Dreiman preceded him in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Catholic Church, at 11:00 A.M. Friday October 4, 2013 with Fr. David Fleck & Fr. Donald Ackerman officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors provided by the Scott Air Force Base. The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to The Good Samaritan Hospice, St. John Catholic Parish, or the donor�s charity of choice.
