Obituary for Betty J. (Fields) Bonhomme
Betty J. (Fields) Bonhomme, 91, formerly of Vincennes passed way in
Tullahoma, TN on January 23.  She was living with her daughter Nancy in Manchester, TN before she passed.  Betty was born July 9, 1927 in Knox County the daughter of Joseph L. Fields and Ruth Purdue (Fields) Thurston. She attended school in Washington, IN and married Lester R. Bonhomme on August 14, 1949 and they made their life together for 34 years before his death on December 7, 1983. Betty worked for Fields Cleaners for 18 years and at Riggs Pharmacy for several years and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society.  She was a lifetime member of the K of C Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary 1157 and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.  She enjoyed her family and friends in any endeavor they had.
Betty is survived by her children, Fred E. Garner of Vincennes, IN, Nancy McRae, and her husband Mike of Manchester, TN and Vickie Rinehart, and her husband Jerome of Vincennes, IN. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Lester Bonhomme, her parents, a great grandson, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday February 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Fr. Donald Ackerman officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Lester in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until the time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to your charity
