Obituary for Beulah M. Anderson
Beulah M. Anderson, 96, of Bicknell, passed away Sunday February 3, 2019 at the Freelandville Community Home at 7:30 AM with her family at her bedside. She was born October 30, 1922 in Knox County, the daughter of Charles and Tessa Myers Russell. She was a 1940 graduate of Bicknell High School and a lifelong resident of Knox County. On March 20, 1945 she married Horace M. “Bud” Anderson and they made their life together for nearly 70 years until his death on March 1, 2015. She was a member of the Bicknell United Methodist Church, Bicknell Elks, she worked as a librarian aid at North Knox School Corp. retiring in 1987, she served as Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star at Bicknell # 211 and Washington #210, Past Matron of the DAR, Francis Vigo Chapter, Indiana Huguenot Society, Past President of Delta PSI Chapter of Delta Theta Tau and a member of Class 23 Sunday School at the church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her children, Connie Bridges of Mishawaka, IN, Judy Wildman of Loogootee, IN, Mary Lou Dodson of Houston, TX and Russell W. Anderson of Edina, MN. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Anderson, a son, Lester, her parents, two sisters, Violet Ward and Margaret Brocksmith, two brothers Conrad Russell during WW II and Charles Wayne Russell.
Funeral services will be celebrated Friday February 8, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Bicknell United Methodist Church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Bud in the Royal Oak Cemetery privately. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the services at the Bicknell United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Bicknell United Methodist Church. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to assist Beulah’s family during their time of loss.
