Obituary for Beverly C. Duffey
Beverly C. Duffey, 85, of Vincennes, passed away Friday August 10, 2018 at Gentle Care Nursing Center with her family at her bedside. Beverly was born March 8, 1933 in Vincennes the daughter of Julian Arnold and Wynita Pope DeRolf. She was a 1950 graduate of St. Rose Academy, and on April 30, 1951, she married Charles L. Duffey and they made their life together for 57 years. She was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Beta Sigma Phi, (Xi Delta Chapter), Knox County Homemakers Extension Club and was active in the Knox County Relay for Life.
She is survived by her children, Charles “ Charlie” Duffey II and his wife, Millissa of Vincennes, Randy Duffey and his wife Susan of Vincennes, Steve Duffey and his companion Pamela Horner of Bedford and Elizabeth Bauer and her husband, Aaron of Vincennes. She was blessed with her grandchildren, Chas (Charles III) Duffey, Millissa Marie Kurcinka and her late husband Carl, Matt Bauer and his wife Karisa, Erich Bauer and his wife Courtney, Trevor Bauer and his wife Taylor, and Katie Bauer. Her great grandchildren, Reagan Kurcinka, Andrew Kurcinka, Adam Bauer, Brayden Bauer and Liam Bauer. She is also survived by a brother, Larry DeRolf of Cleveland, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles L. Duffey on October 13, 2008, her parents and a sister, Juliann DeRolf Utz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday August 13, 2018, at 10:00 AM at the Old Cathedral Catholic Church. Fr. David Fleck will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery next to her husband. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday August 12, 2018, at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the GSH Hospice or Relay for Life.
