Obituary for Billie "Debbie" Tiek
Billie "Debbie" Hawkins Tiek, 90, former resident, passed away in Ellisville, MO on Friday, October 20, 2023. Debbie was born January 16, 1933 in Michigan the daughter of William A. and Martha Hardison Hawkins. She was a former member of the Bicknell United Methodist Church, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She married Paul E. Tiek, on March 9, 1952 and they made their life together for over 65 years until his death on January 26, 2018.
Debbie is survived by children, Chris Tiek of Bicknell, IN, Dale Tiek, and his wife Jane of Oaktown, IN and Vicki Echele, and her husband Denis of Ellisville, MO. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Collin Tiek, and his wife Amy, Andrew Echele and his wife, Erin and Adam Echele and her great grandchildren, Brennen Tiek and Addie Mae Tiek.
Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday October 26, 2023 at 12:00 PM at the Bethel Church in Freelandville, IN with Pastor Mike DeCoursey officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Paul, in the Bethel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends October 26, 2023 at the Bethel Church from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Bethel Church.
