Obituary for Billy L Small
Obituary for Billy Lewis Small Billy Lewis Small, 81, of Bicknell, passed away Thursday July 17, 2014 at St. Mary�s Hospital in Evansville with is family at his bedside. He was born in Knox County on October 22, 1932 the son of Lewis M. and Martha Jett Small. After graduation from High School he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict and after his active service he was transferred to the Air Force reserves. He married Mary Dillon on May 6, 1953 and they made their life together for 61 years. He was a truck driver and formerly worked for Libby Owens/Ford. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his dogs and watching western movies. He is survived by his wife, Mary Dillon Small, Bicknell, children, Billy Lewis Small Jr, and his wife Peggy of Freelandville, IN, David Alan Small of Bicknell and Cynthia Lou Small also of Bicknell. His grandchildren, Christopher Small and his wife Jennifer, Doug Small and his wife Susie, Abbi Cutsinger and Sammy Cutsinger. His Great Grandchildren, Baylee Small, Addysen Small, Dillon C. Small, Ally Freitas, Annie Freitas, Wesley Leroy, Nate Salazar, Isaiah Salazar, Lincoln Dawdy and Emily Dawdy. His brothers, James M. Small, and his wife Wilma of Wheatland and Larry G. Small, and his wife Judy of Vincennes, IN also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be celebrated Tuesday July 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Matt Hoffman officiating. He will be laid to rest with military gravesite honors presented by the All Weather Firing Squad in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday July 21, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Riley Children�s Hospital or the St. Mary�s Hospital Ministerial Department.
