Obituary for Bonnie J. Bahr Bonnie J. Bahr, 83, of Vincennes passed away Saturday September 21, 2013 at the Daviess Community Hospital. She was born July 22, 1930 in Knox County the daughter of Claude �Vernie� & Edith K. Wampler Swope. She was a 1948 graduate of Lincoln High School, she married James �Jim� Bahr and they made their life together until his death in 1996. She was a clerk for many years at Hallmark Gift and cards. She always knew where to find the right card. Always a genteel lady, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved music of all types and she was an avid sports enthusiast when her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were involved. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and she would attend Sacred Heart. She is survived by her family, Robert �Bob� Bahr of Vincennes, Jean Brown, and her husband Larry of Vincennes and Jan Bahr of Vincennes. Her grandchildren, Bob Bahr Jr, and his wife Darcie, Chris Copp, and his wife Sarah, Jana Drone, Larry J. Brown, Aaron Bahr, Rani Bahr and a nephew whom she thought of as one of her grandchildren, Mike Swope. Her great grandchildren, Jayda Drone, Courtney Copp, Logan Brown, Lennon Brown, Sarah Phillippe, Mary Bahr, Zoey Bahr and Charlotte Bahr. Her Brother, James Swope, her brother in law, Don Bahr, her sisters in law, Betty Bahr and Norma Bahr all of Vincennes. Her nieces, nephews and cousins that she felt as if they were all her close family, will also miss her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Bahr, her parents, 2 brothers in law, Richard Bahr and William Bahr. Funeral services will be celebrated Wednesday September 25, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Fr. David Martin officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Bruceville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Knox County Library or to the Girls Athletics Department at South Knox High School.
