Obituary for Bonnie L. Fiscus Hagemeier Bonnie L. Fiscus Hagemeier, 101 years young, passed away Tuesday May 8, 2012 at her residence with her family at her bedside. She was born January 28, 1911 in Daviess County IN near Plainville, IN. The daughter of Emery & Myrtle Dyer Fiscus. She married Herbert R. Hagemeier in Sandborn, IN on November 13, 1937 and they made their life together until his death on October 14, 1998 after 61 years of marriage. She was a member for over 70 years of the Edwardsport United Methodist Church and formerly was a cook at Freelandville Community Home until her retirement. She was a devoted wife mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. She was a seamstress, enjoyed working crossword puzzles, especially the squiggle lines. She was a great cook, and nobody went away from her table hungry. She is survived by her children, Jerry Hagemeier, and his wife, Beverly of Moorcroft, WY, Marilyn Ramsey, and her husband Leo of Owensville, IN, Carolyn Duncan, and her husband Virgil of Worthington, IN, Harley Hagemeier, and his wife Sue of Westphalia, IN and Sheryl Hart, and her husband Bob of Westphalia, IN. She was also blessed by 16 Grandchildren, 44 Great Grandchildren and 24 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert R. Hagemeier, a son Harold Lee Hagemeier, 2 brothers, Ermil and Gerald Fiscus and 3 sisters, Blanche Niedringhaus, Estel Everett and Laura McDaniel. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday May 14, 2012 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Bob Tipton officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Salem United Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm EDT Sunday at the funeral home.
