Obituary for Brenda Kay Wall
Brenda Kay Wall, 80, formerly of Mt. Carmel, IL. passed away Thursday March 30, 2023 at the home of her son in Olney, IL. Brenda was born at home in Vincennes, IN, June 15, 1942 the daughter of John Emsley and Mary Jane Howder Ravellette. On February 11, 1961, she married LaVern C. Wall of Mt. Carmel, IL. Together they raised a family of six children. Brenda worked for many years caring for others as a CNA/QMA in the Mt. Carmel, IL and Princeton, IN area. Brenda's greatest joy in life was being with her children and grandchildren. She loved traveling and vacationing with her family, weather it being looking up at the Statue of Liberty or sitting on the beach in Florida. She enjoyed riding in a boat on Kentucky Lake or just sitting at the kitchen table as long as she was with her family.
Brenda is survived by her family, Randall L. Wall of Flora, IL, John D. Wall, and his wife Cheryl of Olney, IL, Graigory A Wall of Friendsville, IL, Joseph D. Wall, and his wife Ellen of Mt. Carmel, IL and Kimberly D. (Wall) Christie of Sumner, IL. Her many grandchildren She enjoyed so much.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda K. (Wall) Perry, her parents, John and Mary Jane Ravellette, a sister Donna Sue Hill and a brother, Dale Kenneth Williams.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday April 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM/ 10:00 AM CST at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Wall and Rev. Bill Reed officiating. She will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM EST/ 6-8 PM CST on Friday April 7, 2023 at the funeral home.
