Obituary for Bruce L. KIrchoff
Bruce L. Kirchoff, 75 of Vincennes passed away Saturday February 17, 2024, at his residence. Bruce was born November 16, 1948, in Vincennes to Ralph L. and Wilma J. O'Dell Kirchoff. Bruce was a lifetime native of Knox County. He graduated from North Knox High School followed by Vincennes University, Indiana University and Indiana University School of Law. Bruce received his Juris Doctorate from Indiana University in 1974 and was admitted to the Indiana Bar. He proudly served his clients for 50 years in Knox County. He was a member of the Knox County and Indiana State Bar Associations, Harmony Society, and a proud member of the Porsche Club of America. Bruce and Mary Ann Schuckman were married for 24 years, and they made their life together.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Kirchoff, children, Scott (Heather) Kirchoff of Vincennes, IN, Dr. Julie (Avery Myers) Kirchoff of Adelaide, Australia, Jason (Dr. Elizabeth) Kirchoff of Hillsdale, IL, Brooke (Michael) Horn of Indianapolis, IN and Jamie Allen (Kendra) Barber of Washington, DC. Bruce was a devoted grandfather to 9 grandchildren, Cole Kirchoff, Zachary Kirchoff, Harrison Hislip, Audrey (Jared) DeBuisseret, Maddie Kirchoff, Emma Kirchoff, Owen Kirchoff, Ann Memorie Barber and August Allen Barber, and 1 great grandson Reece DeBuisseret. He is also survived by a brother, Rick Kirchoff of Vincennes and a sister Linda (Les) Kirchoff Anderson of Indianapolis, IN.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Wilma Kirchoff.
A Memorial Gathering in his honor will be held Saturday February 24, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home where the family will receive friends. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the donor’s charity of choice. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with Bruce’s arrangements.
