Carl Steven Lecocq, 77, of Vincennes, IN passed away January 4, 2025 at his residence with his family near him. He was born January 27, 1947 in Vincennes, the son of Ralph L. and Bernetha J. Clark LeCocq. Steve was a graduate of Lincoln High School and began a career as a meat cutter at various markets in Vincennes. On July 19, 1965, he married Mary Jean Wallace and they made their life together for nearly 60 years. He began working with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources as a park agent for Brown County State Park. He was a member of the NRA and was a devoted husband and father. An avid dog lover, he treated his dogs as his fur babies.
Steve is survived by his wife, Mary J. LeCocq, their son, Steven R. LeCocq and his wife Christine of Monon, IN.
A Memorial to Celebrate his life will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Vincennes Animal Shelter. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Steve’s family during their time of loss.
