Carolyn June Bilskie, 84, Vincennes, Indiana passed away November 30, 2023, with her children at her bedside. Carolyn was born November 12, 1939, in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and Sylvia Raney. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and on June 14, 1957, she married Ronald Maurice Bilskie, and they made a life together for almost 50 years. She took great pride in growing a family and serving in many part-time and volunteer roles over the years. For 46 years, exercise was a valued part of her daily routine. In her later years, she became an avid gardener, enjoyed decorating for holidays, often sharing her home and being known for her baking skills, especially her chocolate chip cookies. She was a member of First Christian Church, an active member of the Harmony Society of Vincennes.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Cindy Fox and her partner Jim Gaines, Jr. of Vincennes, Indiana, Dennis Bilskie of Vincennes, Indiana and Michelle Becher of Alpharetta, Georgia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Danny Fox and his wife, Amber of Monroe City, Indiana, Travis Fox of Vincennes, Indiana, Cole Becher of Chicago, IL and Hallee Becher of Austin, TX, as well as her great-grandchildren Dalton Fox and Maylin Fox. She is survived by her sister, Judy Ritterskamp (Bill), Edward Raney of Arizona, sister-in-law Judy Mills. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband (Ronald) and her son, (Randy Bislkie), son in laws Mark Becher, Kenny Fox and grandchildren, Tanya, and Ronnie Fox. Born into a family of twelve children, she is preceded in death by Viola Cipriana, Juanita Burris, Louise Stidd, Charles Raney Jr., Donald Raney, Doris Ballard, Beverly Moore and infants, Maxine and Virginia.
Funeral services will be celebrated Saturday December 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Loffer officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ron, in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made in her memory to Vincennes Park and Recreation Dept, 201 Vigo St. Vincennes, IN 47591. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to the time of services at the funeral home. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Carolyn's family during their time of loss.
