Charles E. Danner, 82, of Vincennes passed away Thursday morning at his residence. Charles was born May 21, 1941 in Warsaw, IN the son of Paul N. Danner and Beulah F. Watkins Danner Stephens. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army serving as an MP during the Vietnam War. After his return, he began working for General Motors as a forklift material handler. He was an avid gun enthusiast being a member of the Wabash Valley Gun Club. He married Debbie McCoy and they made their life together.
Charles is survived by his wife, Debbie Danner, his children, Cheryl Lynn Zapp of Colorado City, CO and Charlene Souddy of Shreveport, LA. Two great grandchildren, a sister, Judy Freitos of Atlanta, GA and a sister in law, Patricia Danner. He will be missed by his many nieces, several great nieces and nephews, his caring neighbors and friends and his dogs, Olivia and PeeWee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Paul N. Danner Jr.
At his request, services will be private. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Charles’s family during their time of loss.
