Obituary for Charles W. Linneweber Charles W. Linneweber, 84, of Edwardsport, passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital Friday July 15, 2016 with his family at his bedside. He was born June 15, 1932 in Knox County the son of Fred and Lydia Sanders Linneweber. He was a graduate of Edwardsport High School and on Feb 8, 1953, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane LeGroux, and they had 55 years together until her death on August 1, 2008. He worked at Johnson Controls for more than 37 years and was a member of Bethel Church. He formerly was a pee wee and little league baseball coach, enjoyed having time with his family at various sporting events and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his children, Alan Linneweber, and his wife, Dena of Newburgh, IN, Bruce Linneweber, and his wife Linda of Vincennes, IN, and Chris Linneweber of Freelandville, IN. He was blessed by their grandchildren, Teresa Gift and her husband Mike, Tammie Coco, and her husband Dan, Eric Linneweber, Kelsie Linneweber, Craig Linneweber and his wife Ashley, Justin Ivers, Susie Nowaskie and her husband Heath and Chase Linneweber. His Great Grandchildren, Abigail, Owen & Aubrie Gift, Jack, Ryan & A.J. Coco, Andrew & Matthew Ivers, Maycie Linneweber, Sarah Holt and Hayden Nowaskie. He is also survived by his brothers, Earl Linneweber of Carlisle, IN, David Linneweber, and his wife Valaine of Vincennes, his sisters, Dorothy Sams of Freelandville, IN and Joyce Meyers, and her husband Louie of Freelandville, IN. Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday July 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel, Bicknell, IN with Rev. Mike DeCoursey officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Bethel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Freelandville Community Home or the GSH Hospice.
