Obituary for Charlie Johnson Charlie Johnson, 73, of Bicknell, IN passed away at his residence Tuesday July 17, 2012 at 8:13 AM. He was born March 1, 1939 in Murphy, NC the son of Ralph & Pearl Orton Johnson. He was a master mechanic, having owned and operated Johnson Auto and Small Engine repair. He was a member of the Baptist church and he enjoyed the challenge of repairing anything mechanical. He is survived by a companion, Charlotte K. Heid, Bicknell, his children, Deborah A. Bell of Evansville, IN, Diana L. Zinck of Kernville, CA, Robert Johnson of Evansville, IN, Kathleen Peters of Reno, NV, Martha Evans of Bicknell, IN, Thomas Stone Jr of Mississippi, Barbara Eicken of California, Glenn Stone of Bicknell, IN and Dana Martin of Bicknell, IN. Eight grandchildren, One great grandchildren, his brothers, Cecil Johnson, and his wife Theresa of North Carolina, Kenneth Johnson, and his wife Sylvia of Ohio, Harvey Johnson, and his wife Helen of Georgia, Danny Johnson, and his wife Judy of Ohio and his sister, Helen Johnson of Ohio also survive. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey C. Johnson, daughter Lisa Hall, his parents, brothers, R.J. Johnson and Roy Lee Johnson and a sister Hazel Delly. Funeral services will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday July 21, 2012 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Charles Crouch officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum in the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday July 20, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the family in his memory.
