Obituary for Cheryl Lynn Allen Kocher
Cheryl Lynn Allen Kocher, 68, of Bicknell, passed away Friday June 4, 2021 at 4:12 PM at her residence with her loving family at her bedside. Cheryl was born January 1, 1953 in Elkhart, IN the daughter of Robert and Gloria Walton Latta. She was a Maconaquah High School graduate and attended college for 2 years. She worked for many years at the Bicknell United Methodist Church as church secretary, she was a member of the Bicknell Nazarene Church and where she was board secretary, she was Sunday school teacher for over 40 years and a member of the Community Christmas Choir at the Word of Life Church. She formerly was employed with Preferred Home Health Care. She married Louis J. Kocher on May 15, 2015 and they made their life together for the time the Lord God gave them.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Louis J. Kocher, her son's, Jesse Allen and his wife Teresa of Vincennes, IN and Brent Allen of Vincennes, IN. Her step children, Anita Jo Winkles, and her husband Marty of St. Francisville, IL, Michelle Siverly, and her husband Ed of Corydon, IN, James Kocher, and his wife Heather of St. Francisville, IL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brittany, Payton, Jordan, her great grandchildren, Christofor, Madisyn, and Kacey, step grand children, Chelsea, Alicia, Elizabeth, Dale, Theodore, her step great grand child, Ayra Vories. Her sister, Jean Myer, and her husband Jim of Bradenton, FL, her brothers, Steven Latta, and his wife Pam of Bunker Hill, IN, Randy Latta of Peru, IN, Brad Latta, and his wife Phyllis of Peru, IN, . She is also survived by a special uncle, Ron Walton of Lexington, KY and several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held June 19, 2021 at the Bicknell Nazarene Church with a service to be held at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to the time of services at 1:00 PM at the church. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Donor‘s Church of Choice. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to assist Cheryl Kocher family during their time of loss.
