Obituary for Christian “Chris” Hanks
Christian “Chris” Hanks, 45, passed away on Wednesday night in Clinton, IN. Chris was born January 1 1973 in Port Sulphur, LA the son of Warren and Donna Bailey Hanks. He served the Clinton community as a paramedic with the Illiana EMS Ambulance Service and he formerly worked with Knox County EMS. He was an active member of the Vincennes Township Fire Department and he attended St. John Catholic Church. He enjoyed completive target shooting and was an avid sportsman.
He is survived by his parents, Warren and Donna Hanks of Vincennes, IN, His brothers, Michael K. Hanks, and his wife Rebekka of New Albany, IN and Andy P. Hanks, and his wife Krista of Hazelton, IN. His maternal grandmother, Ethel Bailey of Springfield, LA, and nieces; Ellison, Lynden, and Gretchen and nephews; Talan, and Jonas, and numerous relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leonard Bailey, and his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Helen Hanks
A Gathering to Celebrate his life will begin with a memorial service on Monday February 12, 2018 at 4:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Fr. David Fleck officiating. The family will receive friends until 8:00 PM following the memorial service. He will be laid to rest in Louisiana. The Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Assn. Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the donor’s local fire department.
