Obituary for Claudia M. Litherland Claudia M. Litherland, 86, of Vincennes, passed away Saturday evening October 5, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born February 14, 1927 in Vincennes the daughter of Claude & Gladys Cox Corbett. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and a 1948 graduate of the Indianapolis General Hospital (Methodist) school of Nursing. She worked at the hospital after graduation as a night supervisor and lead nurse of various wards of the hospital. She married C. Darrill Litherland on May 14, 1952 and they made their life together until his death on May 27, 1993. She is survived by their children, Mona Kays, and her husband Carroll, Bruce Litherland, and his wife Mary Kay, Valerie Hendricks, and her husband Jeff, Tracy Litherland and a stepson, Jimmy M. Litherland all of Vincennes. Their grandchildren, Kyla McKinney, Cindy Dolkey, Chrissy Siewers, Jimmy Litherland, Aaron Hendricks, Stormey Wiegman, Josh Litherland and Kaitlyn Tipsword. 15 Great grandchildren and a sister, Rita Weisenborn of Miamisburg, OH also survive. Her husband, her parents, a daughter, Cynthia, a grandson, Michael, a great grandson, Logan all in infancy, a brother, Harry Corbett and 2 sisters, Jean Ridgley and Carol Parish, preceded her in death. A service will be conducted Tuesday evening Oct 8, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Lowery officiating. Family and friends will gather for a gravesite service on Wednesday October 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the GSH Welsch Diabetes Center or the Alzheimer�s Unit at the Willow Manor Nursing Center.
