Obituary for Clone Lorie Qualkenbush Clone Lorie (Lindley) Qualkenbush, 85, of Vincennes passed away February 6, 2013 with her family at her bedside. She was born in Shoals, IN on October 7, 1927, the daughter of Frank and Hattie Ann (Beard) Lindley. She graduated from Shoals High School in 1944. She began her career in 1946, at a shirt factory in Loogootee, IN. She worked as a waitress and short-order cook at the Hoffman House, Hilltop Caf�, Wally�s Drive-In, Italian Village, and Knights of Columbus. She also worked at Universal Scientific in Vincennes and retired from Central Industries in Lawrenceville, IL in 1989. Clone loved being with her family and adored her grandchildren. According to her, the grandchildren were always "well-behaved and innocent!!" Clone liked to work crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and playing Scrabble. She enjoyed visiting family and friends in Indiana, Illinois, California, Kentucky, New Mexico, Oregon, North Carolina, Florida, and Alabama. She also liked to take walks with her grandchildren and going on long drives. Clone is survived by nine children; Mary Ann Bible and her husband Jim, Brenda Qualkenbush, Fred Qualkenbush and his wife Anita, Jack Qualkenbush and his wife Debbie, Marty Qualkenbush, Becky Bouchie and her husband Kirk, Ed Qualkenbush, Sheri Qualkenbush, all of Vincennes, and Debbie Backstrom and her husband Jim of Medford, OR. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Two sisters, Emily Lee of Shoals and Barbara Marsh of Vincennes, and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, and 2 grandsons. Funeral services will be celebrated Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 1:00 P.M. at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor John Hilbert officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her family at Spring Hill Cemetery in Shoals, IN. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Vista Care Hospice, St. Jude Children�s Research Hospital, Alzheimer�s Association or to the Donor�s Charity of Choice.
