Obituary for Cynthia Kay Hendricks
Cynthia Kay Hendricks, 69, of Vincennes, IN, passed away Friday December 13, 2024 at 11:50 PM at Gentlecare Nursing Center. Cindy was born January 1, 1955 in Vincennes the daughter of Kenneth R. and Lucille Gerkin Hendricks. She formerly worked at Country Corner Cafe and KCARC. She enjoyed collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia and going to Disney World. She informed Minnie Mouse that someday she would marry Mickey! She enjoyed playing bingo, lucky, any card game, doing crafts and Diamond Art. Cindy was a faithful parent to her dog, "Casey".
She is survived by her brothers, Kenneth J. Hendricks of Anchorage, Alaska and Bob Williams and his wife Mindy of Vincennes, IN, a sister Frances M. Lawson of Brandenburg, KY, her guardian, Joanna Davis of Vincennes, IN and her mom she adopted, Hazel Bilskie of Vincennes, IN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rachel Hedge.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday December 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Fr. Garrett Braun officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her sister in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the KCARC Special Olympics. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral is honored to assist Cindy’s family during their time of loss.
