Obituary for Dave L. Hendrixson
Obituary for Dave Hendrixson Dave Hendrixson, 71, of Vincennes, passed away Monday December 1, 2014 at 9:55 AM at the Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his bedside. He was born September 7, 1943 in Vincennes the son of Harvey & Mary D. Mitchell Hendrixson. He was a graduate of the 1962 class of Lincoln High School and he owned and operated Hendrixson Concrete Contractors. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1617, NRA and he formerly attended 1st Nazarene Church. He was a avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, he enjoyed riding his Gold Wing Motorcycle with his wife and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Assn. He was hard worker and provided for his family through his endeavors. He married Fava Moore on November 14, 1987 and they made their life together. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Fava Hendrixson, children, Sara Jane Cooper, and her husband, Ted of Vincennes, Sandy Ruppel, and her husband Travis of Petersburg, IN, Susan Boger, and her husband J.D. of Petersburg, IN, Scott Hendrixson, and his wife Melissa of Petersburg, IN, Mickie Lyles, and her husband Neil of Vincennes, IN and Crystal Kerr, and her husband Matt of Bridgeport, IL. Grandchildren, Danielle Boren, Amanda Boyett, Alan Cooper, Nikki Keeton, Justin Martin, Meaghan Williams, Jake Boger, Keileigh Boger, Shelby Hendrixson, Erika Hendrixson, Emma Hendrixson, Melody Jones, Hayla Jones, Randy Jones III, Brenden Collins, AvaLeigh Johnson, Lilah Johnson and Wyatt Kerr. 14 great grandchildren and his brother, Robert �Bob� Hendrixson of Vincennes, IN also survives. He was preceded in death by Twin Great grandchildren, Madison and William Boren, his parents and 3 brothers, Paul Hendrixson, Tom Hendrixson and Harvey Hendrixson Jr. Funeral services will be celebrated Friday December 5, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Garret Sloan officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday December 4, 2014 from 4 to 9 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Good Samaritan Hospice through the funeral home.
