Obituary for David A. Siewers
David A. Siewers, 64, of Vincennes, passed away Friday September 1, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his bedside. Dave was born May 11, 1953 in Vincennes, IN the son of Paul Joe and Elizabeth “Betty” Richardville Siewers. Dave was a graduate 1972 of Rivet High School, graduated Vincennes University with a degree in Broadcasting, he began a 25 year career in management at the Vincennes K-Mart and upon its closing, he began another career when the southwest Youth Village opened as a Senior Youth Development Supervisor. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and he loved life to the fullest.
He is survived by his children, Amy R. Siewers McNeece, and her husband Andrew of Vincennes and Adam M. Siewers of Vincennes, IN. He was blessed with a granddaughter, Chloe McNeece and his mother in law, Luella Hise of Vincennes, IN.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Michael Siewers and Jim Siewers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday September 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. David Fleck officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his brothers in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:40 PM Tuesday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home where the procession to the church will begin. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
