Obituary for David M. Thais David M. Thais, 53, of Bruceville, IN passed away at Kentucky Lake, in Benton Kentucky. He was born January 8, 1963 in Vincennes, IN, the son of Mitchell F. and Judith �Judy� Campbell Thais. He was a graduate of North Knox High School and Vincennes University having earned a degree in Diesel Mechanics. He worked as a mechanic at various endeavors and he owned Thais Repair specialization in diesel repair. He was a member of the Bruceville Rod and Gun Club, he was formerly active in coaching baseball and youth sports. He enjoyed being an active motorcyclist on �His Harley� with his wife to various places, hunting or anything outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father and son. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer K. Murphy Thais, his mother, Judith �Judy� Thais of Bruceville, IN, children, Kassy Murphy of Honolulu, HI, Josh D. Thais of Oaktown, IN, Ethan N. Thais of Bruceville, IN, Scottie Pitts of Bruceville, IN, Jarrod Lorton of Bruceville, IN, sisters, Ann Strug, and her husband Darren of Muscatine, Iowa and Kelly Irvine of Bruceville, IN. He will be missed by his maternal aunts and uncle, Kris Stephens, Cathy Wolfe and J.R. Campbell and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Thais and a brother, Daniel Thais and his maternal and paternal grandparents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday August 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. David Fleck officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday August 24, 2016 from 5 to 9 PM at the Duesterberg Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Compassion International to sponsor children in need.
