Obituary for Diane M. Shepard
THE SERVICES FOR DIANE M. SHEPARD HAVE BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS.
Diane M. Shepard, 68, of Vincennes, passed away Saturday January 17, 2026 at her residence. Diane was born in Washington, IN the daughter of Charles and Pauline Wade Sellers. She was a graduate of Barr-Reeve High School and continued her education at Deaconess School of Nursing where she received her degree in nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at various medical facilities and she last worked at the Samaritan Center. She formerly was married to Ervin L. Shepard who survives. She attended the Nazarene Church
Diane is survived by her children, Keith Edwards and Amy Edwards both of Vincennes, her mother, Pauline Sellers of Washington, IN and a sister, Theresa Edwards of Washington, IN. She was blessed with a granddaughter, Bright Eyes Nichole Mermoud and her companion Kaiden Hackney, her great grandchildren, Brielle Hackney and Briar Hackney.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held Monday January 26, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at 2:30 PM in St. Peters Cemetery in Montgomery, IN following the gathering. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Diane’s family during their time of loss.
