Obituary for Donald F. Yochum Donald F. Yochum, 84, of Vincennes, passed away Monday April 30, 2012 at 3:25 pm CST at St. Mary�s Hospital in Evansville with his son�s at his bedside. He was born November 14, 1927 in Vincennes the son of Charles A. & Matilda Mandabach Yochum. He was a graduate of Lincoln High school and she married Norma R. Dale on November 15, 1949 and spent 60 years making their lives together until her death on January 17, 2010. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; He served his country during WW II on Saipan and the Tinian Air Base prior to the dropping of the atomic bomb. Upon his return after the war, he was a mechanic at Mundy�s Garage, Bryant Chevrolet and became manager of Homes Plumbing in Lawrenceville for 27 years and he became owner and operator of Midwest Refrigeration. He held memberships in the VFW, American Legion ant the K of C. He and his wife moved to Florida in 1995 and after 13 years, they returned to Vincennes. He is survived by his son�s, Jay D. Yochum and Alice Siebert of Bruceville, In and Ken D. Yochum of Vincennes, IN. His grandchildren, Christen Yochum & Shawn Yochum, and his wife Melissa. A great grandchild is expected in June. A sister, Marilyn Cunningham of Farmersburg, IN also survives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma R. Yochum, his parents, 2 sisters, Rita Daugherity and Janice Adams and a brother in law, Richard Cunningham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. David Martin officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The All Weather Firing Squad will provide military Gravesite honors. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm Friday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home.
