Obituary for Donald J Bahr
Obituary for Donald J. �Don� Bahr Donald J. �Don� Bahr, 82, of Vincennes passed away at the Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, IN Thursday October 1, 2015. Don was born August 12, 1933 in Vincennes the son of Edwin and Mary Catherine Cardinal Bahr. He was a graduate of Decker High School and he served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He married Mary Ann Green and they made their life together until her death in 1997. He worked as a sales representative for Valley Electric Supply for over 20 years. He was a member of the Old Cathedral, Knights of Columbus, VFW, Harmony and the Elks. He was an active supporter of his grandchildren in any of their life�s endeavors. He was a man who enjoyed life. He is survived by his children, Mike Bahr, and his wife Cheryl of Vincennes, Patrick Bahr, and his wife JoAnne of Vincennes and Steve Bahr, and his wife JoLynn of Plainfield, IN. His grandchildren, Mitchell Bahr, Katelin Bahr, Rachel Bahr, Katherine Felton and Sean Brewer. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers, James Bahr, Richard Bahr and William Bahr. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday October 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Old Cathedral Catholic Church with Fr. David Fleck officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Mary Ann in the Sumner Cemetery, Sumner, IL. The family will receive friends Sunday October 4, 2015 form 4 to 7 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Christian Education Foundation or to the Knights of Columbus Building Fund.
