Obituary for Donnie L. Groves Donnie L. Groves, 65, of Vincennes, passed away Monday morning April 14, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born April 8, 1949 in Greenville, KY the son of Howard and Azlee Stanley Groves. He served this country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War with the 1st Infantry. He married Janice Jackson. He was a union steward during his employment with Mid State Rubber Manufacturing and he held memberships in the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and being with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Janice Groves, children, Donnie Shane Groves of Littleton, CO, Laura Bilskie of Vincennes, Tony Reel of New Port Richey, FL, Kay Meyers of Vincennes and Wynona Catt of Washington, IN. 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. His brothers, Wayne Groves, and his wife Shirley of Vincennes, William Groves, and his wife Marie of Hartford, CN, James Stanley of Depoy, KY, sisters, Marlene Murphy, and her husband Louis and Janet Reel, and her husband Rick both of Vincennes, IN. He was preceded in death by a son, William Reel, his parents, Howard & Azlee Groves, 3 brothers Howard Groves Jr, Ray G. Groves and Douglas Groves and 2 sisters, Doris Stangle and Shirley Groves. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday April 17, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Tessmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. Military honors will be presented by the All Weather Firing Squad. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the donor�s charity of choice.
