Doris A. Madison, 85, of Vincennes passed away Friday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Doris was born December 31, 1933 in Oaktown, IN the daughter of Doris and Eleanor LaGarde Lane. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and worked as a receptionist at Dr. Welsh medical office. She married Jack Madison on February 23, 1952 and they made their life together for nearly 67 years. Doris was a member of the St. John Catholic Church
She is survived by her husband, Jack Madison, their children, Janet Blackburn and her husband, Frank Jr. of Lima, OH, Greg Madison of Vincennes, IN, Chad Madison, and his wife Kelly of San Antonio, TX, Trace Madison, and his wife Tess of Bremerton, WA and Lance Madison of Port Arthur, TX. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, a brother, Rex Lane and his wife Nuria of Cincinnati, OH and a sister, Reta Rumer of Vincennes, IN.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Dymple Wilson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday February 1, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. Gary Kaiser and Fr. Donald Ackerman officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday January 31, 2019 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the St. John Church. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist the Madison family during their time of loss.
