Obituary for Doris E. Lang Doris E. Lang, 87, of Vincennes passed away at 7:05 AM Sunday April 1, 2012 at the Gentle Care Nursing Center with her son and daughter in law by her bedside. She was born August 29, 1924 in Vincennes the daughter of Ivan & Inez Smith Brothers. She was a 1942 graduate of Lincoln High School, she married James R. Lang, and they made their life together until his death in 1985. She was a member of the former Reel Avenue Christian Church and Franklin Heights Christian Church. She held membership in the Eastern Star and Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and retired from the Knox County Assessor�s Office. She formerly worked at the Vincennes License Branch and was active in local Democrat politics. She is survived by a son, Jeff Lang and his wife, Louise of Vincennes, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Rick J. Lang in 1998, her parents, 2 brothers, Delmar and Cecil Brothers. Funeral services will be celebrated Tuesday April 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Ron Barnes officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM Tuesday until the time of services at the funeral home.
