Obituary for Dorothea “Dori” Elliott
Dorothea “Dori” Elliott, 28, formerly of Vincennes, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in Denver, CO. Born March 24, 1989 Westerville, Ohio, She was raised in Vincennes In. She lived in Denver Colorado for 9 years. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School 2007. She attended Metropolitan State College of Denver. Her hobbies included hiking, spending time in the mountains, and cooking. She was the health access program coordinator of Denver Colorado Aids Project where she befriended and helped hundreds of people. Dori was a beautiful light of love, joy, friendship, to all those she came in contact with. She was an intelligent, creative, and loving soul. She cared for others more than for herself. She was an inspiration to most and loved by many. She impacted so many lives. Her death is a true loss to her family, her friends and the world.
She is survived by her parents, Scott A. Elliott, and his wife Kim of Vincennes and Jody A. Peach, and her husband Tim of Vincennes, IN. Her brother, Brent Elliott of Vincennes, her sisters, Jenna Polito of Evansville, IN, Joanna Peach of Lawrenceville, IL, Leeza Burns of Vincennes, IN and Tobie Burns of Terre Haute, IN.
Funeral services will be celebrated Tuesday August 8, 2017 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home at 7:00 PM with Tim Kirk officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Denver Aids Project through the funeral home.
