Obituary for Dorothy A. �Carie� Cunningham Dorothy Ann �Carie� Cunningham, 85, of Vincennes, IN, passed away Thursday March 29, 2012 with her family at her bedside. She was born September 3, 1926 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of Herschel & Catherine Halter Carie. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a member of the St. Ann�s altar society, and she worked for over 7 years at the Vincennes Wal Mart. She Married William W. Cunningham on January 3, 1946 and they made their life together for 64 years until his death on August 24, 2010. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Barbara Jean Luig, and her husband Larry of Evansville, IN, Diana Kay Patterson, and her husband Don of Bloomington, IN, Rick Cunningham, and his wife Linda of Vincennes and Don Cunningham, and his wife Diana of Princeton, IN. Their grandchildren, Rebecca Niehaus, Rich Shots, Jeremy Patterson, Travis Patterson, Jeff Cunningham, Eric Fossmeyer, Jill Smith, David Cunningham, Christina Loya and Rick Cunningham, 21 Great Grandchildren and another great grandchild is expected in April. She is also survived by her brothers, Gilbert Lawrence Carie, and his wife Barbara, of Crawfordsville, IN and Norman Jude Carie, and his wife Beverly, of Kokomo, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband, William �Bill� Cunningham, her grandsons, Jason & Mike Cunningham, her parents, 2 brothers, Earl Carie and Lee Carie A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday April 2, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Fr. David Martin officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery next to her husband. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM Sunday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. A parish vigil service will be conducted at 4:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Sacred Heart Building Fund or the St. Jude Children�s Hospital.
