Obituary for Dorothy F. Miller Dorothy F. Miller, 84, of Vincennes, passed away Wednesday May 9, 2012 at the New Willow Manor. She was born January 2, 1928 in Knox County the daughter of Lawrence & Emma Holscher Lane. She was a graduate of Decker High School and worked in banking for over 40 years retiring from Regions Bank Trust Department. She married C. Earl Miller on Nov 11, 1961 and they made their life together for 48 years until his death on June 4, 2000. She was a lifelong member of the Old Cathedral Catholic Church and she attended Bethany Presbyterian Church with her husband. She was a member of the Old Cathedral Altar Society, the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by her sisters, Lucille Bailey and Rita Shappard of Vincennes and she will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother Edward M. Lane, a sister, Mary Helen Halter and a brother and sister in infancy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday May 15, at the Old Cathedral Catholic Church with Fr. John Schipp officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday May 14, at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM. Recitation of the Rosary will be conducted at 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Old Cathedral Restoration Fund or to the Vincennes Pet Port.
