Obituary for Dorothy L. �Dot� Worland Dorothy L. �Dot� Walton Worland, 74, of Vincennes, passed away Saturday March 26, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN with her family at her bedside. She was born December 4, 1941 in Sylacauga, AL the daughter of Chester Walton and Madonna Willard Carrie. She was a 1959 graduate of Bruceville High School and on August 19, 1961 she married Richard Worland and made their life together for nearly 55 years. She was the owner and operator of Dot�s Custom Cakes and Catering and had a passion for good cooking and cakes. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, ABWA, La Societe de Femme of the 40 et 8, Lawrenceville Moose, she was an avid golfer, she had been recognized as Businesswoman of the Year, she was a longtime downtown business owner. She was active in the women�s softball league, where she served as treasurer. She also enjoyed Bowling and NASCAR. She as a commitment to her faith, served many thanksgiving dinners to the community for several years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Richard Worland, their daughters, Debbie Snyder, and her husband Troy and Shelly Allen and her husband David both of Vincennes, IN. Her grandchildren, Cody Fredrickson, Tyler Fredrickson, Cameron Hoke, Brooke Hoke, Whitney Snyder, Mariah Snyder, Ryan Allen, Jairus Allen, Heather Hinderliter and Jessica Erdman. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Mains and Donna Cullison both of Vincennes, IN, a brother, Gary Hall, and his wife Donna of Vincennes, brothers in law, Joe Linnewebber, Vincennes, Cyril �Joe� Worland, Vincennes, sisters in law, Theresa Volle, and her husband Hib of Bicknell, IN, Marietta Catt, and her husband Gene of Vincennes. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, William Walton, a sister Sherry Linnewebber, a brother in law, David Mains Jr., her father and mother in law, Cyril and Marie Worland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday March 31, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Catholic Church with Fr. David Fleck and Deacon Cletus Yochum officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday March 30, 2016 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home from 3 to 8 PM. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to CEF or the Rivet High School Athletic Dept.
