Obituary for Dorothy M. Whetstine
Obituary for Dorothy M. �Mull� Whetstine Dorothy M. �Mull� Whetstine, 90, passed away Tuesday April 24 at 4:20AM with her family at her bedside. She was born April 2, 1922 in Vincennes the daughter of Albert L. & Frances Speth Mull. She was a graduate of St. Rose Academy and a lifelong member of St. John Catholic Church. She married Melvin J. �Joe� Whetstine and they made their life together until his death in 1995. She was a homemaker, master cook, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She and her mother made quilts for their family and gave quilts for the St. John Church Picnic until her mothers death. She is survived by her children, Joseph Whetstine, and his wife Shirley of Vero Beach, FL, Robert Whetstine, and his wife Mary Ann of Slidell, LA, Linda Brown of Washington, IN, Stephen Whetstine, and his wife Tammy of Vincennes, Paul Whetstine of Vincennes and Diane Ralston, and her husband Chris of Vincennes. She was blessed by 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, her parents, a brother Buddy Mull in infancy and two sisters, Clara Ann West and Donna Riddle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday April 28, at 10:00 AM at the St. John Catholic Church with Fr. David Fleck officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Friday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home.
