Obituary for Dortha Ann Stockwell Giddens
Dortha Ann Stockwell Giddens, 86, formerly of St. Louis, MO, passed away November 25, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Bicknell, IN. Dortha was born October 3, 1933 in Brita, AR the daughter of Odell and Zelphia Alverson Ritchie. She worked for many years as a certified nursing assistant until her retirement. She was married to her first husband, Everett Eugene Stockwell and her second husband Jerry Giddens and both have preceded her in death. She attended the Baptist church and enjoyed anything to do with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Vicki Stockwell of Bicknell, IN, her grandchildren, Amber Pittman, Nolan Pittman, Angelina Adams, Autumn Dunson, Camille Stockwell, Bryce Stockwell, Amelia Stockwell and Novella Moore. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, a sister, Beulah Worthen of Carthage, MO, and a half brother Odell Ritchie of Louisville KY.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, 2 sons, James Stockwell and Ritchie Stockwell, a grandchild, Damon Pittman and a half brother, Wayne Ritchie.
Private services will be held and she will be interred in St. Charles, MO. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to assist her family during their time of loss.
