Obituary for Duane Scott Davis
Duane Scott Davis, 58, of Vincennes, passed away Tuesday May 17, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his bedside. Scott was born November 7, 1963 in Raymondville, TX the son of Charles E. and Betty Jo Dopheide Davis. He was a 1982 graduate from Harlingen TX High School and continued his education at Texas A&M College graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering. He worked for Beta Engineering of Pineville, LA. He married Joanna Bilskie on June 16, 2001 and they made their life together for nearly 21 years. Scott was a member of First United Methodist Church in Harlingen, TX, formerly a member of the American Legion, an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing and game night’s with his family. Scott was a devoted husband, father, son and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Joanna Davis, their children, Daniel L. Davis and Brittney A. Davis both of Vincennes, his father, Charles E. Davis of Harlingen, TX, a sister, Donna S. McDonald, and her husband, David Powell of Harlingen, TX. He is also survived by his mother in law, Hazel Bilskie of Vincennes, IN, his brother and sister in law, Steve and Denise Bilskie of Vincennes, several nieces and nephews, and his granddog, Axel.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jo Davis, and a brother, Douglas Davis.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 24, 2022 at 7:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Pete White officiating. He will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Vincennes Pet Port.
