Obituary for E. Ann “Funk” Elliott
E. Ann “Funk” Elliott, 86, of Vincennes passed away May 29, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Willow Manor Nursing Home. Ann was born April 7, 1931 in Lawrence County Illinois the daughter of Loy and Frances Crews Funk. Ann worked for many years in the retail sales for Gimbel Bond, Scruples and she managed Alle' Jornes' women’s apparel. She held memberships in the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary’s. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by her family, Stephen Elliott, and his wife LeAnn of Vincennes, Scott Elliott, and his wife Kim of Vincennes, a foster daughter, Julie Allen, and her husband Randy of Vincennes. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, her brothers, Gene Funk of Lawrenceville, IL and Joseph Funk of Vincennes.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Joseph Elliott, a foster grandson, Marcus Allen, her parents Loy and Frances Funk, a brother, Bill Funk and 4 sisters, Roseadella Singleton, Virginia Allin, Marion Bunting and Ethel Funk.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday June 2, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Piper officiating. She will be laid to in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the donor’s charity of choice.
