Obituary for Frances L. (Catt) Stoelting
Obituary for Frances L. (Catt) Stoelting Frances L. (Catt) Stoelting, 89, of Edwardsport, passed away Thursday February 6, 2014 at the New Willow Manor Nursing Center. She was born February 20, 1924 in Pike County the daughter of Mel & Gertrude Troxler Catt. She married John J. Stoelting and they made their life together for nearly 70 years. She was a homemaker and worked as a Cook in the cafeteria at North Knox East Elementary. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a member of the Edwardsport United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed crocheting afghans and working in her flower garden. She is survived by her husband, John J. Stoelting, their children, Norma J. Steele, Vincennes, Rev. John Michael Stoelting, and his wife Marlys Ann of Evansville, David Lee Stoelting, and his wife Cherie of Vincennes and Joyce M. Stoelting of Vincennes, Grandchildren, Vance R. Steele, Jennifer Lowe, Michelle A. Weber, Chris Stoelting, Angie Lange, Aimee Cummings, Aaron Stoelting and Andrew Stoelting. Nineteen great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and her brother Floyd Catt, and his wife Laura of Greenwood, IN also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, Joseph Catt, Melvin Catt, Anthony Catt, Robert L. Catt, Leona Mounts, Mabel Catt, Betty Mason and Mary Jane Gustafson. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday February 10, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel, Bicknell with Pastor Debbie Payne officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Edwardsport IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM Sunday February 9, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Edwardsport United Methodist Church.
