Obituary for Gary R. Tooley Gary R. Tooley, 72, of Vincennes, passed away Saturday June 18, 2016 at his residence with his family at his bedside. He was born November 4, 1943 in Vincennes the son of William C. �Bill� and Nellie A. Lankford Tooley. He was a 1961 graduate of Bicknell High School and on November 28, 1964 he married Bonnie J. Hendershot and they made their life together for nearly 52 years. He worked at various grocery stores, having retired from Harold�s/JC�s as a department manager and worked for Wabash Food Service after retirement. He was a member of the St. John Catholic Church, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. Tooley, his daughters, Kris Manion, and her husband Mark of Vincennes, Lyn Tooley of Vincennes, and Cindy Bishop, and her husband Dave of Dana, IN. He is also survived by grandchildren, Matt Steel, and his wife Kaylee, Adam Steel, Spencer Bishop, Tanner Bishop, Lyndsey Bishop, Will Bishop, Holden Manion and a great grandson, Jackson Steel. He is also survived by a brother, Bruce Tooley, and his wife Joy of Vincennes, IN and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Nellie Tooley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday June 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Catholic Church with Fr. David Fleck officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM Monday June 20, 2016 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Good Samaritan Hospital Cancer Center.
