Obituary for Genevieve M. Jenny Hubers
Obituary for Genevieve Magdalene �Jenny� Hubers Genevieve Magdalene �Jenny� Hubers, 100, of Vincennes, IN passed away Thursday April 17, 2014 at 7:30 PM at Colonial Assisted Living. She was born April 25, 1913 in Glennonville, MO the daughter of Bernard J. and Frances S. Egloff Hubers. When Jenny was one year old, her father moved the family to Vincennes and began her 100 years in Vincennes. She attended Lincoln High School, Vincennes Business College and began her professional career in 1942 with Vincennes Savings and Loan Co. She began as a teller and worked hard in various positions having retired after 36 years as Secretary of the Savings and Loan Assn. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Altar society and devoted her life to taking care of her family. She was active in various church functions and activities at Sacred Heart. She is survived by her nephew, Ronald Hubers, and his wife Margery of Vincennes, her nieces, Patricia Colley of St. Charles, MO, Norrita Brunson, and her husband Don of Lamar, AR and Collette Griffith, and her husband Dave of Vincennes, IN. Her great nieces and nephews, Ronald J. Hubers, Ryan Hubers, Charles Colley, Kevin Colley, Jeffery Colley, Keith Colley, Richard Brunson, Gwen Brunson and Donna Brunson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard J. and Frances S. Hubers, four brothers, Urban Hubers, Richard Hubers, Leander Hubers, Martin Hubers and a sister in infancy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on her 101st birthday, Friday April 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Kreilein, Fr. David Fleck and Deacon Earl Ruppel officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive her friends at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home Thursday April 24, 2014 from 3 to 6 PM. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in her memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or St. John Catholic Church.
