Obituary for Gerald E. �Jerry� Burton Gerald E. �Jerry� Burton, 56, of Vincennes, passed away Sunday February 7, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Jerry was born July10, 1959 in Vincennes the son of Robert E. and Barbara Bailey Burton. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, he served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and formerly owned Burton�s Bar II/The Old Town Tavern. He was a member of the Moose, American Legion, 40 et 8 and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by his children, Lorene Paige Burton of Vincennes, IN and Gerald Burton, and his wife Ashley of St. Francesville, IL . His grandchildren, Caitlyn Burton, Christian Burton, Cara Burton, Charlotte Burton and Chloe Burton. He is also survived by his brothers and sister, Bob Burton, and his wife Bobbie, Donald Burton, and his wife Corrine and Ronnie Burton, and his wife Pam his sister, Shelley Gaines, and her husband Billy all of Vincennes, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Barbara Burton A Gathering to celebrate his life will be held Friday February 12, 2016 at 8:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Entombment service and Military Honors will be performed by the All Weather Firing Squad Saturday at 10:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made in his memory to the Good Samaritan Hospice.
