Helen M. Jean (Anderson) Brown, 100 years young, passed away Friday January 10, 2020 in Franklin, IN. Helen was born July 1, 1919 in Knox County near Bicknell the daughter of Lester and Ila Pickle Anderson. She was a graduate of Bicknell High School and was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed anything to do with sewing or knitting. She attended Asbury Chapel Methodist Church and the Freelandville Christian Church.
She is survived by her children, Donna Trevizo of Mesa, AZ and Joseph Collins of Paris, IL. Her grandchildren, Dana Baugh, Daniel Lloyd, Shawn Lloyd, William Lloyd, Cindy Polmanter, Von Fuller, Andrew Trevizo, John Trevizo, Chris Trevizo, Jennifer Elledge, Amanda Williamson, Kelly Drake and Joseph Collins. She was also blessed with 22great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Louetta Wyne of Petersburg, IN and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Carson, her parents, a brother, Horace “Bud” Anderson, 2 sisters, Lois Hoffhines and Ina Cauffman.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Wednesday January 15, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Matt Hoffman officiating. She will be laid to rest in Asbury Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the donor’s charity of choice to assist organizations in the Bicknell area.
