Obituary for Hilda J. (Dreiman) Lane Hilda J. (Dreiman) Lane, 86, of Vincennes, IN passed in the presence of her family on March 17, 2014 at 1:30 PM. She was born March 6, 1928 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of Howard & Viola Johnson Dreiman. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and on June 5, 1945 she married Edward M. Lane, and they made their life together for 35 years until his death in 1980. She was a lifetime resident of Vincennes and she retired from the Vincennes School Corp having worked as a cook at Clark Middle School. She was also employed with the Vincennes Sun Commercial adding inserts to the paper before delivery. She was an avid animal lover, she enjoyed gardening, and was always happy to see he loyal dogs, Jiggers & Nellie. She also worked to rescue kittens that had been abandoned. She is survived by her children, Donald M. Lane M.D., and his wife Pam of Muncie, IN, Joseph �Joe� Lane, and his wife Sandy of Vincennes, IN and Rebecca Seibie of Vincennes, IN. Her grandchildren, Heidi Lane, Zachary Lane, Brooke Howitt, Ashleigh Rexford, Brittany Lane, Jonathan Lane, Angela Robinson, Adam Lane, Dean Lane, Jeffrey Lane, Jessica Jackson and Sara Stevens. 14 great-grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, a sister, Barbara Schlomer of Vincennes, IN, a sister-in-law, Rita Shappard of Vincennes, IN also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Lane, a son, Morris Lane, a daughter, Marilyn Sue Lane, her parents, 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, Maurice and Margaret Dreiman, Ellis and Lil Dreiman, Orlan and Ethel Dreiman and Emmett and Joyce Dreiman, a sister and brother in law, Maxine & Merlin Mouzin, a brother-in-law, James Schlomer and her In-law�s, Mary Helen and George Halter, Lucille and George Bailey, Dorothy and Earl Miller and Walter Shappard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday March 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Kreilein officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Friday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Vincennes Pet Port.
