Obituary for Irvin H. Pieper Irvin H. Pieper, 89, of Edwardsport, IN passed away Friday October 24, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his bedside. Irvin was born November 19, 1924 in Edwardsport, IN at the home he still lived in, he was the son of Henry F. and Minnie Klutey Pieper. He was a graduate of Edwardsport High School where he was valedictorian. He was a life long farmer and was a member of the Old Cathedral Catholic Church. He married Carol Yochum on September 9, 1973 and they made their life together for 41 years. He is survived by his wife, Carol Pieper, their children, Andrew J. Pieper, and his wife Rachel of Edwardsport, IN, Nancy Allen, and her husband Chad of Vincennes, Douglas L. Pieper, and his wife Samantha of Trenton, GA and Cheryl Middleton, and her husband Edward of Carlisle, IN. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Keziah Pieper, Henry Pieper, Anton Pieper, Zachary Allen, Jacob Allen, Samuel Allen, Nelisa Middleton, Christopher Middleton and Daniel Middleton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Leonard Pieper and Vernon �Bud� Pieper and a sister Helen Stoelting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday October 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Old Cathedral Catholic Church with Fr. David Fleck and Deacon Earl Ruppel officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home in Vincennes. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Old Cathedral Stain Glass Restoration Fund.
