Obituary for Jo Ann Carie Bauer Jo Ann Carie Bauer, 85, formerly of Vincennes and a resident of Aperion Care Bridgeport, IL, passed away Wednesday July 23, 2014 at St. Mary�s Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born August 10, 1928 in Lawrenceville, IL the daughter of Raymond & Pearl Slagle Wammack. She was a graduate of Lawrenceville High School and she worked for Canteen Corp at Vincennes University for over 20 years. She married John E. Carie and he preceded her in death in 1990. She married Robert �Bob� Bauer and he preceded her in death in 2006. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and AARP. She enjoyed teasing and laughing with her family and friends and her passion was SHOPPING. She is survived by her children, Barbara Ann Fox, and her husband Louis of Bridgeport, IL and James S. Carie, and his wife Toni of Hawesville, KY. A step daughter, Angela Wittman, and her husband Chris, a special niece, Mary Ann Whetstine, and her husband Bob. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husbands, a daughter, Jan M. Parmenter, a grandson Tony Parmenter, her parents, a brother, Philip Wammack and a sister Lucille Bertolette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday July 28, 2014 at 1:00 PM Indiana time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Kreilein officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her first husband, John Carie Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday July 28, 2014 from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home.
